The publication consists from 14 studies which map basic research orientation of this author from the view of research themes, methodology and chronology. Studies are ranked in six blocks (song genres, regional styles, ethnic minorities and folk singing, bearers of tradition and the role of a personality, new song creation, folk song in interethnic context). Publication contains studies originated in the period 1964 \u2013 1990.
